StudyArc AI is developed and operated by Udgam Tech, based in Nepal. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean Udgam Tech. When we say "you" or "user," we mean you, the student or person using our app.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect account information, uploaded study content, generated lesson content, and product usage information needed to operate the service.

• Email address and password for login
• Display name derived from your email
• Photos of notebook pages, textbook exercises, or chapter pages you upload
• Chapter names and lesson titles you enter
• AI-generated summaries, flashcards, MCQs, revision notes, homework answers, smart notes, and chat conversations
• Device type, operating system, app version, feature usage patterns, and Study Together session data

We do not collect your location, contacts, call logs, browsing history, or biometric data. We only access photos you explicitly upload.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the service and generate study materials from your uploads
• To save generated lessons and notes so you can revisit them later
• To power Study Together real-time syncing during active sessions
• To improve the app using anonymous, aggregated usage data
• To provide text-to-speech playback for voice features

Uploaded photos are processed for AI generation and are not stored permanently on AI provider servers.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services for cloud infrastructure, AI processing, text-to-speech, and payments. Only the minimum necessary data is shared for each service to function. We do not store your payment credentials.

5. Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored on secure cloud servers with industry-standard encryption
• Passwords are securely hashed and cannot be viewed by us
• Technical and organizational measures are used to protect user data
• Uploaded photos are processed for lesson generation and are not permanently stored after lesson creation

6. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent relating to your data.

7. Children's Privacy

StudyArc AI is designed for students aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If a parent believes a child under 13 has provided data, we will delete it promptly upon request.

For users aged 13 to 18, we recommend parental awareness of app usage.

8. Data Retention

• Active accounts: retained while the account remains active
• Deleted accounts: deleted within a reasonable period after account deletion
• Study Together sessions: room data is cleaned up after sessions end
• AI Tutor conversations: chat history can be cleared by the user at any time

9. Cookies & Tracking

The mobile app does not use cookies. The website uses only minimal cookies required for essential functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or sell data to advertisers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we update the last-updated date and notify users through the app. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated policy.
